Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
Introduction
KaganCore is a controlled-access operational platform used by media organizations and approved professionals for media coordination, booking operations, verification workflows, and related operational activities. Professionals may also choose to publish a limited professional Public Profile that is separate from KaganCore's controlled operational records.
In these Terms, "media organizations" and "media teams" include producers, production and editorial teams, network operators, and their authorized staff and representatives, depending on role. "Professionals," "experts," and "contributors" refer to individuals who maintain professional profiles on the platform.
By accessing or using KaganCore, users agree to these Terms of Service.
If a user does not agree to these terms, the platform must not be used.
1. Eligibility
KaganCore is intended for:
- professionals
- media organizations
- operational staff
- approved participants
- authorized representatives
Users must:
- provide reasonably accurate information
- maintain account security
- use the platform lawfully
- comply with operational and moderation requirements
KaganCore is not intended for public social networking use.
2. Accounts & Access
Users are responsible for:
- maintaining the confidentiality of authentication credentials
- restricting unauthorized access to their account
- ensuring information associated with the account remains reasonably accurate
KaganCore may:
- restrict access
- suspend accounts
- deactivate accounts
- limit operational participation
- or remove platform access
where reasonably necessary for:
- operational integrity
- moderation enforcement
- fraud prevention
- security
- legal compliance
- or platform protection
3. Organizational & Network Access & Responsibility
Media organizations are responsible for:
- managing authorized staff access
- maintaining appropriate operational controls
- ensuring platform use complies with applicable obligations and internal policies
Organizations are responsible for activity conducted through authorized organizational accounts.
Where network governance applies, network operators may manage and access the organizations under their network according to their role and permissions, and are responsible for the use of that access.
4. Verification & Trust Systems
KaganCore may use:
- moderation systems
- identity verification workflows
- operational trust controls
- fraud-prevention measures
to protect platform integrity and operational reliability.
Identity verification is distinct from a professional's self-declared expertise, professional history, publications, and media record. A narrower KaganCore evidence label may apply to a specific record where the product expressly shows one; otherwise professional profile information should not be interpreted as a general KaganCore credential endorsement.
Verification approval is not guaranteed.
KaganCore may:
- approve
- reject
- suspend
- limit
- or revoke verification status
where reasonably necessary for operational integrity, moderation enforcement, fraud prevention, or policy compliance.
Uploaded identity documents are normally removed after moderation processing completes, subject to retry, retention, security, fraud-prevention, operational, and legal exceptions. Verification status, moderation decisions, and limited anti-fraud continuity records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Operational Participation
KaganCore supports operational coordination activities including:
- booking participation
- scheduling workflows
- affiliation management
- messaging
- moderation workflows
- related operational coordination
Operational participation may be restricted, limited, suspended, or removed where required for moderation enforcement, operational integrity, scheduling protection, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
6. Use of Platform Information
Media organizations, network operators, and their staff who access non-public professional information through the platform may use it only for platform-relevant media coordination, verification, scheduling, operational communication, and relationship management.
A professional may separately turn Public Profile on and select eligible professional information for public disclosure. That Public Profile subset can be viewed by anyone with the public link while publication remains active. Direct contact methods and private operational records are not part of the Public Profile.
The current direct-link release is not offered by KaganCore for general search-engine indexing. KaganCore does not guarantee whether or when a third-party search engine, messaging service, or social service will cache, display, refresh, or remove a link or preview it has already fetched.
Users and organizations must not:
- scrape or bulk-export non-public professional or operational data
- sell or share platform-sourced non-public personal data onward
- use platform-sourced non-public personal data outside the authorized relationship, except as lawfully required and consistent with the platform's purpose
- misuse non-public profile, contact, or operational information
Non-public profile, contact, and operational information is expected to be handled confidentially and consistently with the purpose for which access was granted.
7. Platform Conduct
Users must not:
- impersonate individuals or organizations
- submit fraudulent or misleading information
- interfere with platform operations
- attempt unauthorized access
- abuse operational workflows
- bypass moderation controls
- misuse organizational information
- or use the platform unlawfully
Professionals who publish a Public Profile are responsible for having the rights and authority needed to publish the information and links they select for that profile.
KaganCore may investigate suspected misuse and take operational or moderation action where appropriate.
8. Lifecycle Actions
KaganCore distinguishes between:
- internal directory visibility
- Public Profile publication
- operational participation
- account deactivation
- removal requests
- organizational closure
- permanent deletion
Turning Public Profile off makes the public personal profile unavailable from KaganCore's side. KaganCore cannot guarantee immediate removal of an older cached link or preview held by a third party, but the KaganCore public link must not continue serving the withdrawn profile.
Operational restriction does not necessarily require destruction of all historical operational records.
Certain operational, moderation, audit, anti-fraud, and continuity-related records may remain preserved where reasonably necessary for operational continuity, dispute handling, moderation integrity, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or auditability.
Account Deactivation
Deactivation may:
- restrict authentication access
- remove operational participation
- remove discoverability
- withdraw Public Profile access
- end active operational relationships
Deactivation is generally reversible. Reactivation may not automatically restore prior affiliations, invitations, or operational relationships.
Removal Request
A request to remove a profile is submitted for administrative review rather than executed immediately. While a request is pending, data is preserved and it can generally be cancelled before it is processed. KaganCore does not commit to a fixed processing time for removal requests.
Permanent Deletion
Permanent deletion is carried out through administratively reviewed processing where applicable, and irreversibly removes active account access and associated active profile data. KaganCore public-profile links no longer disclose the deleted profile.
Certain limited records may remain retained where reasonably necessary for legal obligations, fraud prevention, moderation integrity, auditability, operational continuity, or dispute resolution.
Final deletion actions are irreversible.
9. Notifications & Communications
KaganCore may deliver:
- operational notifications
- moderation notifications
- booking updates
- verification updates
- billing and subscription communications
- lifecycle confirmations
- security-related communications
Certain critical operational or security communications may be delivered regardless of user communication preferences where necessary for security, moderation, verification, operational continuity, or fraud prevention.
10. Payments & Billing
Where paid features are offered, payment collection, payment methods, invoices, and the billing portal are handled by a third-party payment processor (Stripe). KaganCore does not itself store full payment card numbers.
Access to paid features is determined by KaganCore's own subscription and entitlement records, not by external price identifiers alone. Subscription status, billing state, and related access may change based on payment outcomes and platform records.
Payment does not buy identity verification, operational reliability, ranking advantage, or the right to publish information the account holder has not chosen to make public.
11. Availability & Service Changes
KaganCore may:
- modify platform functionality
- introduce operational limitations
- update workflows
- suspend features
- or discontinue portions of the service
without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability.
Operational maintenance, moderation actions, infrastructure events, or security events may affect platform availability.
12. Intellectual Property & Content License
KaganCore and its associated platform materials, workflows, branding, operational systems, and software are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Users may not:
- reproduce
- distribute
- reverse engineer
- scrape
- or commercially exploit
platform systems or materials without authorization.
Users retain ownership of the profile, media, and organizational content they submit, where applicable. Users grant KaganCore a limited license to host, store, display, process, moderate, resize or transform, and transmit that content as needed to operate and provide the platform. When a professional turns Public Profile on, that license also permits KaganCore to display the professional's selected public-profile content to anyone using the public link and to generate a share preview from that same public subset. Turning Public Profile off ends KaganCore's active public display of that profile, subject to the external-cache limitations described above. KaganCore does not claim ownership of submitted content and does not use submitted content for advertising or marketing.
13. Third-Party Services
KaganCore relies on third-party service providers by category, including:
- hosting and infrastructure
- data storage
- authentication and session infrastructure
- transactional email
- analytics and operational telemetry
- notification, realtime, and queue delivery
- security, abuse prevention, and support operations
- payment processing (Stripe)
Platform functionality may depend on such providers. KaganCore is not responsible for outages or disruptions caused by third-party services outside reasonable operational control.
14. Disclaimer
KaganCore is provided on an "as available" and "as provided" basis.
The platform does not guarantee:
- uninterrupted availability
- error-free operation
- verification outcomes
- booking outcomes
- media appearances or producer responses
- search-engine indexing, ranking, or visibility
- third-party link-preview refresh or removal timing
- organizational participation outcomes
- or uninterrupted operational continuity
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KaganCore disclaims warranties not expressly stated in these terms.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KaganCore and its operators shall not be liable for:
- indirect damages
- consequential damages
- operational interruption
- loss of opportunities
- reputational impacts
- or data loss
arising from platform use, operational decisions, moderation actions, lifecycle actions, or service interruptions.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.
16. Termination
KaganCore may suspend, restrict, deactivate, or terminate platform access where reasonably necessary for security, moderation enforcement, operational integrity, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or platform protection.
Termination of access does not necessarily require destruction of operational continuity records. Public Profile access is withdrawn when the account is no longer eligible for public disclosure under KaganCore's lifecycle and moderation controls.
17. International Use
Users understand that platform operations, infrastructure, and data processing may involve multiple jurisdictions.
Users are responsible for ensuring platform use complies with applicable local laws where relevant.
18. Changes to These Terms
KaganCore may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect operational changes, legal requirements, governance evolution, moderation requirements, security improvements, or platform development.
Continued use of the platform after updates may constitute acceptance of revised terms.
19. Contact
Operational, legal, moderation, or platform-related inquiries may be submitted through official KaganCore support or administrative contact channels.
